Brief

This project enables you to explore the metaphor of ‘journeys’ to investigate narrative and non-linear ideas. The concept of ‘journey’ can be a interpreted as a process of thought, an exploration of the image, memory, psychogeography, taxonomies; ecologies; indexes or archives enabling experimental approaches to the static or moving image.

Aims

The aims of this unit are to:
  • A1 - Further develop a range of pre-production, production and post-production techniques and procedures relevant to your proposed outcomes 
  • A2 -  Further develop knowledge and application in a production context
  • A3 -  Further develop an understanding of the technical, creative and aesthetic possibilities of your chosen medium
  • A4 - Further develop skills in research and project planning
  • A5 - Develop an awareness of distribution networks and external agencies

Learning Outcomes
 
On satisfactory completion of the unit, you will be able to:
  • LO1 - Display aptitude for, and understanding of, technical procedures in production and post-production, that demonstrate safe and effective working practices.
  • LO2 - Demonstrate skills in the manipulation of ideas through higher levels of technical and transferable skills
