Myself and Laura then came up with a short piece of information about the role, with the discussed options in mind, to use for the advertisements for actors.
I then put up the adverts, and used the websites:
www.castnet.co.uk
www.talenttalks.co.uk/
www.starnow.co.uk/
I also emailed several acting schools within the area, plus some old friends from College that moved on to acting schools in London.
Here's an example of one of the adverts we put up, this was our third and final advert for the role.
We managed to get quite a response from the advert, around about 20 people applied, including an actress who used to be in a famous CBBC television show called Young Dracula.
However not all could make the audition days, this meaning we only really had four auditions overall which was a bit of a let down. With more time off and time to plan the project would could have gotten a lot more auditions done, although the person we ended up casting is good for the role itself.
Our four actors who auditioned were:
Myself and Leanna were the two casting directors at the auditions, we managed to get an office in the centre of Guildford and acted professionally around all the actors who came in. We set up and followed the following structure, although when it came to the role description we did add in extra pieces of information.

Talk about the role
You’re an student artist, who’s creativity has been
restricted. This makes you want to break out of the jail cell you’ve been put
into, and into a truly creative world. The ending will be you reacting to the
overwhelming sense of being on a set instead of In what you believe is real
life.

The script we provided for the actors was a scene from Shutter Island in which the main character is being told he isn't who he thinks he is. We chose this scene because there wasn't much dialogue for the character Teddy, and it meant we could see their facial acting more than just reading lines.
The actor we went for in the end was Ray Calleja; he was confident, relaxed, took direction well, and acted out the scene we provided him with brilliantly. The following video is his audition:
