Let's Talk: Sound Project Inspiration

So recently I feel my type of favourite film has changed; I've gone from these childish and terribly comedies (which I will still watch, especially when I'm ill or feel like it) to Sundance films, you know the ones that actually have story-lines and amazing music scores. They've made me start to appreciate things I never would have before, like the people who write the scores for the music everyone seems to ignore. Probably my favourite film composers that I've found so far have to be:

Rob Simonsen:

The film composer behind such films as; The Way Way Back, Girl Most Likely, (500) Days of Summer, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and many more.
Personally my favourite movie and score he has composed is The Way Way Back, however I was focusing on the story the first time I watched it so the second time was when his work really spoke to me

.

Nathan Johnson:

The film composer behind such films as; The Brothers Bloom, Looper, and Don Jon.
Now The Brothers Bloom is one of my all time favourite movies and I feel the score makes it that much better, with perfect timing and tracks that I can just listen to constantly Nathan Johnson really does the film justice.

Theodore Shapiro:

The film composer behind such films as; The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Pirates! Band of Misfits, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Jennifer's Body, Marley and Me, and so much more. Theodore Shapiro is definitely someone you should search up because he's done scores you wouldn't even realise were there.
I have an obsession with The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and talk about it constantly, now it's no surprise that this is my favourite soundtrack of his. It accentuates the beautiful landscapes throughout the films, and even if you just listen to the tracks alone you can just tell where they are from how Theodore Shapiro shapes the music to tell the journey.
