Initial Countdown Website



In our original plan we wanted to create a countdown page, this would be the link provided by our QR codes on the posters. This was the time I was able to show the group the website wix.com, it's a website that allows people to make websites based on the templates they provide or to start from scratch. It's a really simple HTML editor program to use, this is because you have all the options in a handy drop down menu on the side.



Unfortunately we didn't get to use the countdown website because we didn't feel it was really necessary and would confuse people, however we did continue to use the program because it was simple to use.

Student Challenge Website


We then moved onto making the actual website for the Student Challenge, all we wanted on it was the information that was needed and a sign up form. I actually adapted a countdown template for this website and added in all the information and the sign up form, however the big thing with this was that it was necessarily showing the challenge and could be confusing.
The information on the page says:

"Do you enjoy a challenge?
We're looking for Students at UCA Farnham who would be willing to participant in a prototype Urban Quest. 
You could be the first person to try out a new style of Freshers Week, an opportunity you can't miss. 
We are looking for groups of 1-3 people to participate in 3 different challenges, you will need to keep us updated via Twitter during the event.
Events will be on the evenings from 1st - 3rd December. First challenge will be sent to those chosen on 28/11/2014.
If you feel this is a challenge for you then sign up below."
