Studio Shoot - Camera Workshop

So within this workshop we looked at the Sony EX3 camera, this is a great camera and can even produce footage better than an original RED camera. Unfortunately there is only one of these cameras between DFSA and Film Production meaning we can't use it all the time, but we are specifically using it for the studio shoot.
We were introduced and shown how to use the camera and some of it's added bonuses, these include:
  • Slow motion/Speed Up
  • Detachable Lenses
  • Hidden viewing screen
  • Samurai Blade

The Samurai Blade was something that highly interested my group, this is because it gives us the option of viewing the footage being recorded on an external screen. There were also several other options on the Blade, including being able to look back at the footage and put whether the director liked it or not. This means in the edit they can quickly determine between the shots that shouldn't be used, and the ones that should be.

  1. He Charlie... I don't think you properly understood the Samarui blades real purpose which to upgrade the resolution and therefore the quality of the image.
