Fields and Frames - Movement in Photography

Something I've always wanted to do is combine both video and photograph into one, this is because they both interest me and I feel this is a side to the visual aspect that many ignore. I think that is why cinemagraphs interest me so much, because they manage to create a moving image within a still image. But I also thought I needed to look into other ways of creating movement within an image before settling with cinemagraphs.

Motion Control Photography

This is a technique that is used in both still and motion photograph, it enables the user to have complete control over the camera movements and allows repetition. It's normally done with an overly complicated rig that allows the camera to move smoothly, but it creates a wonderful visual effect that brings life to what could just be seen through a still image.

Motion Blur

This is normally done by taking a photograph of a moving object whilst using a slow shutter speed, this then shows the object as a blur instead of something that is frozen in time. It can also be done by panning the camera, however in both of these cases the camera should be on a tripod or something stable to be able to capture the photograph clearly, otherwise it will just be a giant blurry mess.
